Last year, an average of 257.5 million somoni was allocated monthly for the payment of pensions. Director of the Social Insurance Agency of Tajikistan Dilmurod Davlatzoda told reporters about this today at a press conference.
According to him, at the beginning of this year the number of pensioners in the republic amounted to 763 thousand 333 people. The increase compared to 2021 amounted to 1.8% or more than 13.5 thousand people.
In the republic, over 159.1 thousand people out of the total number of pensioners receive disability pensions. Compared to a year earlier, their number increased by more than 1.3 thousand people, or 0.9%. Their average pension amounted to 325 somoni.
It was noted that last year more than 3.2 billion somoni was allocated for the payment of pensions.
