The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration , Oleg Sinegubov , said that the Russian invaders were accumulating equipment in the Kupyansk direction.

He noted that the equipment is necessary for the occupiers, first of all, in order to stop the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“ It’s quite hot along the front line, in the Kupyansk direction. Indeed, we observe a certain accumulation of military equipment of the Russian Federation. However, according to our information, this technique is primarily to stop the possible advance of our troops into the territory of the Lugansk region in order to liberate the territories. We can say that we expect a possible offensive there, attempts to repel the lost positions, but our Armed Forces are ready for any options, ”Sinegubov said.

Ukraine does not rule out a new Russian offensive in February , but so far no strike formations have been detected.

“ Of course, we still expect possible attacks from the Russians, because the month of February, they love symbolism. February 24 will be the year since this invasion began, the open stage of the Ukrainian-Russian war that began in 2014. Therefore, we expect this pressure,” he said.

According to Bloomberg, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin expects that a new offensive by the Russian army in February-March 2023 will allow the invaders to seize the initiative in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, he is determined to wage war against Ukraine for many years.
