The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin received today the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Tajikistan Umut Adzhar.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of Tajikistan Rustam Nazarzoda, the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan reports.
During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs once again expressed Tajikistan’s deep sympathy in connection with the strong earthquake in the southeastern region of friendly Turkey, which caused the death of many citizens and great material damage.
The willingness of the government of the Republic of Tajikistan to mobilize a professional search and rescue team of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense to eliminate the consequences of this earthquake, as well as to provide primary humanitarian assistance, was also expressed.
The diplomatic missions of Tajikistan in Turkey have activated a hotline for constant communication with citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan temporarily residing in the provinces of Kahramanmarash, Hatay, Osmania, Adiyaman, Gaziantep, Sanliurfa, Diyarbakir, Malatya and Adana.
